The town of Torres Novas, located 1,5 km away, offers a range of dinning options from gourmet restaurants to tapas bar facing the walls of the castle.
Wine tasting: Some Portuguese wines are excellent. Ask for a wine tasting at the Quinta’s cellars and discover the amazing wines from different regions of Portugal. Make sure you contact us in advance!
A fabulous heritage
Located in the heart of the Ribatejo’s historical heritage, the Quinta is less than an hour’s drive from the most remarkable sites. Welcome to a journey through time:
- From the Jurassic Age with dinosaur footprints, to a Roman villa and catacombs;
- The Middle Age with his fortresses including the exceptional 12th century Convent of Tomar (*);
- The Great Discoveries with the majestic cathedrals of Alcobaça (*) and Batalha (*);
- The house museum of the pioneer photographer in Golegã, also capital of the Lusitano horse;
- Fatima’s sanctuary;
- The charming city of the Queens, Obidos;

A generous nature
On a 27 hectares estate covered with fig and olive trees, and an orchard with lemons, oranges, pomegranates, persimmons, apricots, tangerines, take a walk:
- around the property and its beautiful surroundings;
- the Parks of “Serra de Aire and Candeeiros” with its ancestral rural landscapes, castles and caves;
- the Boquilobo Nature Reserve and its migratory birds;
- one hour from the coast, the giant waves of Nazaré and other beautiful and quieter beaches.

- Padel at 2 minutes from the Quinta;
- Horseback riding from the Quinta in the hills or lessons in the spectacular outdoor track at the Quinta;
- Nautical sports: kayak on the Tagus and Zezere river and nautical skiing at the dam of Castelo de Bode upon reservation;
- Several hiking circuits;
- At 1 hour from the surf spots of Peniche and Nazaré.
Riding at the Quinta
At the Quinta, you will find young Lusitano horses grazing on the property.
The Quinta is a 15-minute drive from the town of Golegã, the capital of the Lusitano horse. During the famous Golegã Horse Fair, we offer riding packages with accommodation and lessons in dressage or working equitation and rides in the hills. We offer you the chance to discover the Golegã Fair on horseback on a Lusitano thoroughbred for an immersion in the local equestrian tradition.
